Housed in a brand new building since 2016, students across our 11-16 secondary and sixth form, attend our ambitious school.
Founded in 1926 as Bedlington Secondary School, Bedlington Academy now continues its journey as part of the North East Learning Trust. The Trust's vision - that every child experiences excellence every day - is an aspiration that we are fully committed to. We aim to match the achievements of the best schools in the country and we are determined to do so without losing the friendly, supportive and inclusive ethos that makes this school so special.
We want our students to leave school with excellent qualifications, high standards of literacy and numeracy and ambitious plans for the future. Above all we want them to have enjoyed school, grown in confidence and developed a love of learning that stays with them into adulthood.
We are very proud of our students; they are polite, enthusiastic and well-mannered, and they represent their school and families exceptionally well.
