Jo has a BA (Hons) degree in geography and a PGCE teaching qualification, both from Newcastle University. She has the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). Jo has over 15 years' experience working in middle and senior leadership roles in schools in challenging contexts. She has a particular interest in educational research and learning theories, and has extensive experience in leading CPD for teachers to help them improve their practice. Jo is committed to ensuring that, through high quality teaching and appropriate support, every child is able to achieve their potential.
Prior to entering the teaching profession, Jo worked as a chartered accountant specialising in audit and assurance with PricewaterhouseCoopers. She has found this experience invaluable as a school leader.
