Yesterday our Debate Team travelled to Ashington Academy for the annual NELT Debate Competition, and came back with a win!
Our terrific trio debated the question 'Should private jets be allowed?' and questioned Rye Hills Academy on the topic of 'Is Barbie a good role model?'. Our speaker Maisie wowed the judges during the debate and came away with the trophy for Best Speaker. What a brilliant achievement! A big well done to everyone who took part. We look forward to next year's competition!
